Guitar Player Planet is dedicated to providing two services to our customers.

Guitar Lessons

The first service is to provide guitarists and aspiring guitarists in the Bay Area with the best private guitar instruction available.

Whether you are a lifelong guitarist wanting to expand your playing into new areas and styles or a beginning guitarist that wants the guidance and direction that a great music teacher provides, I can help you make your guitar playing goals a reality.

I’ve taught thousands of people to play the guitar. My years of experience teaching the guitar have helped me develop interesting and effective lesson plans that will put you on the right path to learning to play the guitar.

My goal as a teacher is to always create a supportive and fun learning environment that allows each of my students to grow as guitarists and musicians. Whatever style of guitar playing you’re interested in pursuing, whether you play an acoustic or electric guitar, I can help you learn to play.

Guitar Sales

The second service is as a guitar dealer. I sell guitars purely from the perspective of a lifelong guitarist, as someone who has been playing the guitar for decades. I’m a guy who loves the instrument and would never sell anyone a bad guitar.

That’s my commitment to my guitar customers, I won’t sell or even stock a bad instrument.

Based on my lifetime of experience with the guitar I’ll show you everything you need to know to make a smart, informed decision about purchasing either an electric guitar or an acoustic guitar.

Selling guitars has been a natural evolution for me as a guitarist. I know and love guitars. It’s absolutely the thing I know best.

My dedication to selling only the highest quality guitars has been made easy for me by the relationship I’ve developed over the last few years with a guitar company that has consistently received rave reviews throughout the guitar world.  That company is Godin Guitars, based in Montreal, Canada.

I discovered Godin Guitars a few years ago after taking delivery of a truly disappointing Gibson custom shop order that I’d placed. I’d spent over four thousand dollars for what turned out to be a dud. After that experience, I was determined to find a company that made a great guitar at a great price and went out searching guitar shops in the Bay Area.

Every Godin guitar that I played was a revelation. Well, to make a long story short, I became a total Godin disciple. I became a licensed Godin dealer in 2004 and now, after selling hundreds of their guitars, I’m continually amazed at how much guitar your money can buy with Godin and their acoustic line, Seagull.
